Are you changing finance ForTheBetter?

It’s that time of year again – entries to our ForTheBetter award are now open, in partnership with The Finance Innovation Lab. So, if you’re a purpose-led banking organisation tackling financial exclusion, we’d love to hear from and help you. But ‘what, who, how!?’ we hear you cry. We’ll answer all your questions below. What IS the ForTheBetter award? Every year, we offer up £15,000 worth of our comms and PR expertise for free - to help an organisation that’s transforming the world of financial services for the better. In real terms, that adds up to about a three-month project, designed to help you maximise your impact.

Why the focus on financial exclusion? The cost-of-living crisis has put a squeeze on everyone’s finances, but particularly for some of the most vulnerable groups in our society. That’s why this time around we particularly want to work with a group that’s making finance more inclusive and more accessible for those who’d otherwise be pushed out.

Can we apply? Sure you can! As long as you’re a banking organisation, purpose-driven, and supporting those facing financial exclusion. For example, you might be (but aren’t limited to):

• A regional mutual or insurer
• An ethical bank
• A building society

Great! Now, how do we actually do it? Good question! Fill in the entry form and send it off to us. The final deadline for submission is Tuesday 12th September, so make sure your entry’s in by then. If you're selected, we’ll start working together from September onwards.
